
The latest female-centred body horror movie is writer/director Natalie Erika James' (Relic; Apartment 7A) Saccharine. The film sees a medical student (Midori Francis) engage with a controversial new weight loss craze that involves eating human ashes. In doing so she unleashes a malevolent force.
Danielle Macdonald and Madeleine Madden also star.
Saccharine is in US cinemas from May 22nd. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced but it will likely premiere on Shudder in July.
