Writer/director John Carney follows Once, Begin Again, Sing Street and Flora and Son with yet another music-centred drama in Power Ballad. Co-written with Peter McDonald, the film stars Paul Rudd as washed-up wedding singer Rick, who forms a friendship with fading pop star Danny (Nick Jonas). When Danny has a hit with a song written by Rick, the latter becomes determined to receive the recognition he feels he deserves.
Peter McDonald, Marcella Plunkett, Havana Rose Liu and Jack Reynor also star.
Power Ballad is in UK/ROI cinemas from May 29th.
