The feature debut of writer/director Dean Puckett, The Severed Sun is set in an isolated religious community. Emma Appleton plays Magpie, a member of the commune who kills her abusive husband. In doing so she unleashes a malevolent beast from the nearby woods.
Toby Stephens, Jodhi May, Lewis Gribben, Barney Harris, Oliver Maltman and James Swanton also star.
