Yorgos Lanthimos was propelled onto the world stage by the success of his 2009 Greek film Dogtooth, which scooped the Prix Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival and an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. The film is centred on a couple who have raised their three children in seclusion in their home, a facade that begins to crumble with the arrival of an outsider.
Newly polished in a 4K restoration overseen by the director himself, Dogtooth returns to UK/ROI cinemas on August 29th.

The official synopsis reads:
DOGTOOTH follows the story of a couple that raise their three children in complete seclusion on the outskirts of a city, behind a tall fence that marks the boundary of their house. The children have never stepped beyond this fence and their upbringing is carefully controlled without any outside influence. However, when an outsider is introduced, their reality begins to fracture in unexpected and disturbing ways.
