Not to be confused with the infamous 1990 film of the same name, Troll 2 is director Roar Uthaug's sequel to his 2023 Norwegian folklore-inspired monster movie Troll, which became the most-watched non-English movie on Netflix.
The first film's troll-hunters - Nora (Ine Marie Wilmann), Andreas (Kim Falck) and Captain Kris (Mads Sjøgård Pettersen) - return, joined this time by new addition Marion (Sara Khorami), as they battle a new troll terrorising Norway. Screenwriter Espen Aukan also returns.
"I am beyond proud of how audiences around the globe connected with the first Troll film far beyond what we imagined," says Uthaug. "With the sequel, we are aiming high - expanding the scope, deepening the story, and creating a troll-sized spectacle like you've never seen before. I cannot wait for fans to experience the adventure we have in store."
Troll 2 is on Netflix from December 1st.
