Haunted attractions, where actors dressed as iconic horror villains scare
the pants off paying customers, have become a staple of the Halloween
season. In writer/director Jake Jarvi's Haunt Season the actors at such an
attraction find themselves targeted by an actual masked killer.
Filmed on-location at a working Midwest haunted house during its Halloween
season, Haunt Season stars Rob Scallon, Craig Benzine, Stephen Kristof, Jeremy Warner, Katelin
Stack
and Adam Hinkle.
"Haunt Season is about the world of passionate creatives. Partnering with a real
haunted house gave us incredible insight into the world of haunters and
there were so many parallels to our world of indie production," says
Jarvi. "It's about creative people doing what it takes to turn their
dreams into reality. Except in this case one person's dream is killing a
whole lot of people."
Haunt Season is in US cinemas from October 4th and VOD from
October 8th.
