Director Vaughn Stein has specialised in thrillers with movies like
Every Breath You Take
and Inheritance under his belt. He's delivered another
mystery with Cellar Door. The film stars Scott Speedman and Jordana Brewster as a
grieving couple looking for a new home in the aftermath of a miscarriage.
Thanks to an encounter with the mysterious Emmett (Laurence Fishburne), they find themselves gifted his luxurious home under one condition -
they must never open the cellar door!
Addison Timlin, Chris Conner, Katie O'Grady and
Randy Sean Schulman also star.
Cellar Door is in US cinemas and on VOD from November 1st.
A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

In this suspenseful thriller, a city-dwelling couple (Jordana Brewster, Scott Speedman) is looking to relocate to the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. While visiting the grandiose home of Emmett (Laurence Fishburne), a mysterious man with a talent for pairing the right property with the right people, the couple is suddenly gifted the house of their dreams with one nonnegotiable condition — they must never open the cellar door.
