Written and directed by Steve McQueen (Lovers Rock;
Widows), Blitz sees Saoirse Ronan play Rita, a young mother
who sends her nine-year-old son George (Elliott Heffernan) to live in the English countryside
during the London blitz. When George decides to make his way back to
London on his own, Rita begins a frantic search for her son.
The film also stars Harris Dickinson, Benjamin Clementine, Kathy Burke, Paul Weller,
Stephen Graham, Leigh Gill, Mica Ricketts, CJ Beckford, Alex Jennings,
Joshua McGuire, Hayley Squires, Erin Kellyman
and Sally Messham.
Blitz is in UK/ROI cinemas from November 1st and on Apple
TV+ from November 22nd.

Sir Steve McQueen’s “Blitz” follows the epic journey of George (Elliott Heffernan), a 9-year-old boy in World War II London whose mother Rita (Saoirse Ronan) sends him to safety in the English countryside.
