Hellboy: The Crooked Man, the fourth instalment in the comic book series, sees director Brian Taylor (Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) take us back to the 1950s. There we find Hellboy (Jack Kesy)
enlisted to help a paranormal researcher (Adeline Rudolph)
transport a deadly creature through the Appalachians. Running into a small
community, the pair find themselves battling demonic forces.
Co-written by original creator Mike Mignola and
Christopher Golden, the film also stars Jefferson White, Martin Bassindale, Joseph Marcell, Leah McNamara and Hannah Margetson.
Hellboy: The Crooked Man is in UK/ROI cinemas from
September 27th.

The official synopsis reads:
In the 1950s, Hellboy is enlisted to aid rookie paranormal researcher, Bobbie Jo Song, in the transportation of a deadly creature. However, their mission soon goes awry when an accident leaves them stranded in the forests of rural Appalachia where a small community resides, haunted by demonic forces. With all clues pointing towards witchcraft as the culprit, Hellboy and his allies must hunt down the source of this evil – the ‘Crooked Man’ who has been sent to Earth to collect souls for the devil.
