Directed by Mikael Håfström (1408; Escape Plan) and written by R. Scott Adams and Nathan Parker,
Slingshot stars Casey Affleck as an astronaut who
begins to lose his grip on reality during a years-long mission to Saturn's
moon Titan.
The film also stars Laurence Fishburne, Emily Beecham, Tomer Kapon, David Morrissey
and Mark Ebulué.
Slingshot is in US cinemas from August 30th. A UK/ROI
release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
A psychological thriller starring Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne, SLINGSHOT follows an elite trio of astronauts aboard a years-long, possibly compromised mission to Saturn’s moon Titan. As the team gears up for a highly dangerous slingshot maneuver that will either catapult them to Titan or into deep space, it becomes increasingly difficult for one astronaut to maintain his grip on reality.
