Actress Nicola Peltz Beckham makes her debut as writer/director with
gritty drama Lola. The film sees Peltz Beckham cast herself in the titular role of a
19-year-old struggling to look after her younger brother (Luke David Blumm) while contending with their tyrannical mother
(Virginia Madsen).
Trevor Long, Raven Goodwin and Richie Merritt also
star.
Lola is in US cinemas and VOD from February 9th. A UK/ROI
release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
Set in 2002 Middle America, Lola revolves around nineteen-year-old Lola James (Nicola Peltz Beckham), who is desperately working to save enough money to get her little brother, Arlo (Luke David Blumm), out of their toxic home dominated by their mother, Mona (Virginia Madsen). All Lola wants is for Arlo to have a chance at the life she never had nor will. One tragic night, her whole world gets uprooted, and from that moment on, nothing will ever be the same.
