You could never accuse the always entertaining Eric Roberts of
phoning in a performance but that's just what he does in
The Caller. The debut feature from writer/director
Richard Anthony Dunford sees Roberts play a psycho who targets Izzy
(Sarah Alexandra Marks) a remote phone worker for the bank he
believes has screwed him over.
The film also stars Colin Baker, Dani Thompson and Amber Doig-Thorne.
The Caller is on UK/ROI VOD from October 23rd.
Check out the trailer and poster below.
The official synopsis reads:
Izzy, a young woman who works remotely as a customer service agent for a bank, agrees to house-sit for her uncle while he is abroad. Whilst working alone at this secluded house she receives an unnerving phone call from a dissatisfied customer who is hellbent on terrorising her. Izzy grows increasingly paranoid from the harassment fearing that the sadistic caller's threats may end up becoming a violent reality.
