Directed by Sebastián Silva (The Maid; Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus), Rotting in the Sun sees Silva and social media
star Jordan Firstman play fictional versions of themselves. The film
sees Firstman convince Silva to collaborate on a project in Mexico. When
Silva disappears, Firstman conducts his own investigation into his
whereabouts.
Rotting in the Sun is on MUBI UK from September 15th.

The official synopsis reads:
While unwinding at a Mexican gay beach town, depressed director Sebastián Silva meets gregarious Instagram influencer Jordan Firstman (both playing versions of themselves), and Sebastián reluctantly agrees to collaborate on an upcoming project. But when Jordan arrives back in Mexico City, Sebastián is nowhere to be found, and Jordan embarks on a wildly unpredictable, quasi-detective journey.
