Director Tadashi Imai's classic 1964 samurai movie
Revenge stars Kinnosuke Nakamura as a warrior who makes an enemy of his superior
when his pride is wounded by an insult. The situation spirals out of
control as Imai and screenwriter Shinobu Hashimoto explore the role of honour in feudal Japan.
Newly restored in 2K, Revenge will make its worldwide bluray
debut courtesy of Eureka Entertainment on June 19th.
Bonus features include a new interview with critic Tony Rayns; a new video piece by Jasper Sharp; and a collector's booklet.

The official synopsis reads:
An innocuous comment during a weapon inspection wounds the pride of low-ranking samurai Shinpachi (Kinnosuke Nakamura), leading to an argument with his superior. The situation snowballs out of control, leading to a deadly duel and political fallout which threatens the entire clan.
