In 1989 American martial artist Cynthia Rothrock became the first
female western star to headline a Hong Kong movie. She took the lead role in
director Mang Hoi's Lady Reporter, which saw her team up with Elizabeth Lee to investigate Ronny Yu's dodgy newspaper
editor. The cast also featured such cult action stars as
Billy Chow, Jeff Falcon and Vincent Lyn.
Courtesy of Eureka Entertainment, Lady Reporter will make
its UK bluray debut on June 26th with the release of a new 2K
restoration.
Bonus features include the original theatrical cut and the international
cut; new feature length audio commentary by Asian film expert Frank Djeng and
actor and martial artist Vincent Lyn; new feature length audio commentary by action cinema experts Mike Leeder
and Arne Venema; new select-scene commentary with Cynthia Rothrock; new interview with Mang Hoi; trailers; reversible sleeve; set of

The official synopsis reads:
Cynthia Rothrock plays Cindy, the titular female reporter sent to investigate an unscrupulous newspaper editor (Ronny Yu). Teaming up with Elizabeth Lee (Long Arm of the Law Part 3), the two go up against a series of opponents played by some of the greatest “bad guy” actors in 80s cinema, including Billy Chow (Fist of Legend), Jeff Falcon (Outlaw Brothers, Six String Samurai), and Vincent Lyn (Tiger Cage).
