Jacques Becker's romantic period thriller
Casque D'or turns 70 this year and has been newly restored in
4K. Set in late 19th century Paris, the film stars
Simone Signoret and Serge Reggiani as two lovers in the city's criminal underworld who
attract the unwanted attention of a mobster (Claude Dauphin).
The 4K restoration will premiere at the Leeds International Film Festival on
Sunday 13th November, followed by a UK cinema release on November 25th and
a UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital release on November 28th courtesy
of Studiocanal.

The official synopsis reads:
Set in Paris at the turn of the 19th Century, CASQUE D’OR follows the love affair between gangster’s moll, Marie (Simone Signoret, Room At The Top, Les Diaboliques) and reformed criminal Georges Manda (Serge Reggiani, Les Miserables, The Pianist). When mob boss, Felix Leca (Claude Dauphin), takes an active interest in their affair, an underworld rivalry ensues leading to a treacherous and tragic end.
