Writer/director Neil LaBute won much acclaim for his early social
satires like In the Company of Men and
Your Friends & Neighbours but damaged his reputation with
his disastrous Wicker Man remake. LaBute now returns to the
horror genre with another reimagining, this time of Bram Stoker's
classic novel 'Dracula'.
House of Darkness sees a man brought to the secluded estate
home of a woman he met on a date. There he gets more than he bargained
for.
The film stars Justin Long, Kate Bosworth, Gia Crovatin and
Lucy Walters.
House of Darkness is in US cinemas from September 9th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
