Director Valdimar Joìhannsson’s debut feature
Lamb stars Noomi Rapace and Hilmir Snaer Gudnason as a couple whose life on a remote Icelandic
farm is upended when they discover a mysterious newborn among their
livestock.
The film was recently released in the US, where it became Iceland's most
successful movie. It premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2021 and won the Prize of
Originality.
Lamb is in UK/ROI cinemas from December 10th and on MUBI UK
from February 25th, 2022.

The official synopsis reads:
This darkly compelling fable tells the story of a couple, María (Noomi Rapace) and Ingvar (Hilmir Snaer Gudnason) on a remote farm in rural Iceland, who find their quiet existence shaken by the astonishing discovery of a mysterious newborn amongst their sheep. They decide to raise the child as their own, but soon face the consequences of defying the will of nature.
