One of the filmmakers who managed to shoot a movie amid last year's
lockdown is Ben Wheatley (Rebecca,
High-Rise). That movie is In the Earth, which imagines a world in the grip of a deadly virus and focusses on a
scientist (Joel Fry) and park ranger (Ellora Torchia) who find
themselves trapped in a surreal nightmare when they enter the woods for an
equipment check. The film also stars Reece Shearsmith, Hayley Squires, Mark Monero and
John Hollingworth.
In the Earth is in UK cinemas from June 18th.

The official synopsis reads:
As the world searches for a cure to a disastrous virus, a scientist and park scout venture deep in the forest for a routine equipment run. Through the night, their journey becomes a terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness, the forest coming to life around them.
