Horror movies have long warned us of the dangers of rural America, but the
parents at the centre of director Harley Wallen's
Ash & Bone clearly haven't been paying attention. They move to the countryside
in the hopes of curing their teenager's troublesome ways, only for her to
make enemies of a notorious local family. The movie stars
Jamie Bernadette, Mel Novak, Angelina Danielle Cama, Kaiti Wallen, Erika Hoveland and Jimmy Doom.
Speaking about his latest film, Wallen says "I wanted to make a film in the style of the mid 2000s horror films such
as House of Wax, The Hills Have Eyes and
Texas Chainsaw Massacre. l wanted to follow up Agramon’s Gate with a more raw and
imposing horror film."
Ash & Bone is currently in post-production but you can
check out a teaser trailer below.
The official synopsis reads:
A troubled teenager is taken to the peace and quiet of the countryside by her father and stepmother in an effort to calm down her wild streak. But after she crosses the infamous McKinley family, it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment.
