A new 4K restoration of Jodorowsky's debut is coming to cinemas.
Following El Topo and The Holy Mountain, Fando y Lis is the latest of cult filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky's movies to get a UK/ROI cinema release, courtesy of a new 4K restoration.
Made in 1968, Jodorowsky's feature debut is adapted from a play by Fernando Arrabal. Shot on high contrast black and white, the film follows the eponymous Fando (Sergio Klainer) and Lis (Diana Mariscal) as they embark on a journey across a post-apocalyptic landscape in search of enlightenment.
Fando y Lis is in UK/ROI cinemas February 7th.
