Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith return to their signature roles.
25 years ago, writer/director Kevin Smith burst onto the scene with his low budget, black and white debut Clerks. That movie featured a pair of supporting characters, Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith himself), who have gone on to become recurring figures in Smith's oeuvre.
The duo are back in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, which sees the pair take a trip to Hollywood in an attempt to halt a reboot of their own movie.
Joining the cast are Chris Hemsworth, Shannon Elizabeth, Joe Manganiello, Rosario Dawson, Grant Gustin, Justin Long, Joey Lauren Adams, Jason Lee, Kate Micucci, Jason Biggs, Harley Quinn Smith, James Van Der Beek, Craig Robinson, Molly Shannon, Method Man and Brian O'Halloran.
A release date has yet to be announced but you can check out the first trailer below.
The official synopsis reads:
The stoner icons who first hit the screen 25 years ago in CLERKS are back! When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again!
