Arrow Video have announced ArrowColor, a new process for colourising black and white films.
Arrow Video boast one of most impressive back catalogues of any blu-ray distributor, but many of the films in their stable are in black and white. While cinephiles are happy to watch black and white films, it's a major turn off for the average viewer, meaning some great old movies simply aren't finding the audience they deserve.
To reach a larger audience, Arrow Video have announced a new process, ArrowColor, which will add all the colours of the spectrum to those drab monochrome movies of old.
No doubt the purist gatekeepers will take offence, but if it means old movies can be embraced by a new generation, how can it be a bad thing?

This was an April Fool's gag, though it did raise some interesting debate over colourisation.
