Each week we invite readers to vote in a poll on our twitter page @themoviewaffler.
This week, with most Hollywood movies filled with non-American acting talent, we asked which English-speaking country outside North America boasts the most impressive current crop of acting talent. Here are the results:
New Zealand (0%)
Those poor Kiwis. Despite boasting the likes of Anna Paquin, Russell Crowe and Sam Neill, not a single reader voted for the Southern Hemisphere nation.
Australia (18%)
New Zealand's neighbour took a considerably larger slice of the votes. The country is currently supplying a host of stars to Hollywood, including Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Guy Pearce, Rose Byrne, Naoimi Watts, Mia Wasikowska, Ben Mendelsohn and Joel Edgerton. Let's not mention Jai Courtney and Sam Worthington.
Ireland (26%)
Gathering over a quarter of the votes shows how much Ireland is punching above its weight with the amount of great acting talent the small island now boasts. Saoirse Ronan, Colin Farrell, Michael Fassbender, Brendan Gleeson, Cillian Murphy and Aidan Gillen are among the cream of Irish stars.
UK (56%)
It's no surprise really that the United Kingdom was the clear winner, taking more than half the votes. It's almost impossible now to find a Hollywood movie or TV show that doesn't feature a Brit among its cast, from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. There are really too many British actors doing great work at the moment to list them all, but some of our favourites are Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Carey Mulligan and Felicity Jones.
