The latest of several recent films that celebrate the power of sitting in
a cinema auditorium, writer/director Sam Mendes'
Empire of Light is set in a small English coastal town in
the early '80s and is centred around the impact the town's cinema has on
its residents.
Olivia Colman, Colin Firth, Toby Jones, Micheal Ward, Tom Brooke, Tanya
Moodie, Hannah Onslow
and Crystal Clarke star.
Empire of Light is in UK/ROI cinemas from January 9th, 2023.
