Driving Mum stars Þröstur Leó Gunnarsson as a man who lives with his elderly mother
(Kristbjörg Kjeld). When she passes away, he loads her corpse into
his car and sets off on a road trip across Icelandic to honour her wish to
be laid to rest in her home village. Hera Hilmar and
Tómas Lemarquis also star.
Driving Mum will receive its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival on November 19th.

The official synopsis reads:
When Jon’s mother, the single most dominant person in his life passes away, his anchor is gone. Compelled to honour her last wish, he takes on a journey to bring the body across Iceland to her home village for the final rest. As they travel on, Jon’s whole existence obtains a new meaning.
