The Haunting of Sharon Tate, writer/director Daniel Farrands is taking on another dark chapter
of American history with Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman.
Chad Michael Murray is the latest actor to take on the role of the
handsome killer. This one focusses on the manhunt by Seattle
detective Kathleen McChesney (Holland Roden) and FBI profiler Robert Ressler (Jake Hays). Lin Shaye also stars.
Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman is in US cinemas on August 16th
with a DVD/VOD release on September 3rd. A UK/ROI release has yet to be
announced.

The official synopsis reads:
A specter roams the highways of a gritty and decadent 1970s America, hunting for his next prey—his name is Ted Bundy (Chad Michael Murray). Tracking him down are the intrepid female detective Kathleen McChesney (Holland Roden), working out of the Seattle Police bureau, and rookie FBI profiler Robert Ressler (Jake Hays), the government agent who coined the term “serial killer.” This is the true story behind the manhunt that brought America’s most fearsome boogeyman to justice.
