Singer-songwriter Martha Tilston turns to filmmaking with
The Tape, which she wrote, directed and stars in, along with performing the
soundtrack.
Tilston plays a struggling songwriter who finds inspiration at a remote
cliff-top house in Cornwall where she records a new album.
Lee Hart and Steve Jacobs also star.
The Tape is in UK cinemas from September 24th with special
preview screenings accompanied by a recorded Q+A with Tilston on September
21st.

The official synopsis reads:
Tally, a disillusioned songwriter drifting through life, finds her inspiration renewed at an atmospheric Cornish cliff-top house and records a single analogue copy of her new album. When corporate lawyer Leo is drawn into Tally’s world of music and mythology, the implications ricochet through both their lives with the tape acting as a talisman, helping those who encounter it to truly come alive.
