The original screen adaptation of Susan Hill's story is set to make its worldwide blu-ray debut.

Susan Hill's 1983 novel The Woman in Black received a big screen adaptation in 2012 with Daniel Radcliffe in the lead role. Most horror fans are agreed that the best screen version of Hill's spooky tale however is the 1989 adaptation produced for British TV network ITV.

Adapted by legendary genre writer Nigel Kneale and directed by Herbert Wise, the TV movie starred Adrian Rawlins as the solicitor who finds himself menaced by the titular ghost (Pauline Moran).

The Woman in Black has been newly restored and will make its global blu-ray debut on August 10th when released by Network. The blu-ray is available exclusively from the Network website.

Bonus features include an audio commentary with horror experts Mark Gatiss, Kim Newman and actor Andy Nyman. The disc is packaged with an O-Card slipcase and a booklet with writing by Andrew Pixley.
