The Harry Potter Series’ Build-up to the Biggest British Movie Release in the Last Decade (2010-19).

We all know the ingenious story of the most famous wizard in the world, whether we read the books or watched the movies, Harry Potter is one of the biggest fiction stories in the world and has spawned numerous media spinoffs including a Hogwarts house quiz.

It all started in 1997, when a British book writer named JK Rowling came up with a story that when published onto a book, sold all over the world. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone made such a big success that a sequel had to come out a year later.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was written in 1998.

Then in 1999, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabanand in 2000, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The first four books made a big hit, and then later in 2001, the first book was made into a movie. This gave the story a major boost, which made it become a mass worldwide phenomenon, with one of the largest fiction story fanbases in the world.

As the fans demanded more, the second movie came out, representing the second book in 2002, which made an even bigger hit than the first.

In the next year in 2003, people were expecting the release of the third movie to represent the third book, but instead, JK Rowling surprised everyone by publishing her fifth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

In 2004, the third movie came out, and in 2005, we saw the fourth movie and the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Later in 2007, the fifth movie came out, along with the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which we thought would be the end of the amazing, thrilling story. In 2009, we saw the sixth movie, and in 2019 the seventh movie came out, and that was the end of an era, or so we thought.

In 2011, to everyone’s big surprise, another Harry Potter movie came out, which was the first ever Harry Potter movie to ever come out before the book. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II was so unexpected that it hit the global market by storm. According to a chart made by Betway, the movie had generated about 95 million dollars in the first day and over 150 million dollars in revenue over just the first weekend! That’s massive! It makes it the 5th biggest movie in the world. It made 50% more success than its predecessor title.

The massive release aided the movie in winning a variety of awards and even breaking a number of world records, including largest opening-day draw of all time and the highest-grossing single day in U.S. box office history. For sure this movie shows that not only Americans are good at shooting movies, the Brits are right up there with them.
