The subject of the recent acclaimed documentary Won't You Be My Neighbour?, Mister Rogers was an icon of American TV, teaching his values to generations of kids. Director Marielle Heller's A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood tells the true story of the friendship between Fred Rogers (Tom Hanks) and an initially cynical journalist (Matthew Rhys) assigned to profile him. Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper also star.
A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood is in UK/ROI cinemas December 6th.
