First trailer for Alex Ross Perry's rock 'n roll drama.
Of the crop of upcoming movies centred around female singers (see also Vox Lux, Wild Rose and Teen Spirit), arguably the most anticipated here at TMW is Her Smell, given it comes from writer/director Alex Ross Perry (Golden Exits; Queen of Earth) and sees him reteam with Elizabeth Moss.
In the film, Moss plays Becky Something, a once stadium filling rocker who now finds her career washed up and her life in a mess.
The impressive cast also features Cara Delevingne, Dan Stevens, Agyness Deyn, Amber Heard, Gayle Rankin, Ashley Benson, Dylan Gelula, Virginia Madsen and Eric Stoltz.
Her Smell is in US cinemas in April, but a UK/ROI release has yet to be announced. Stay tuned for our upcoming review from the Dublin International Film Festival.

Becky Something (Elisabeth Moss) is a '90s punk rock superstar who once filled arenas with her grungy all-female trio Something She. Now she plays smaller venues while grappling with motherhood, exhausted bandmates, nervous record company executives, and a new generation of rising talent eager to usurp her stardom. When Becky's chaos and excesses derail a recording session and national tour, she finds herself shunned, isolated and alone. Forced to get sober, temper her demons, and reckon with the past, she retreats from the spotlight and tries to recapture the creative inspiration that led her band to success.
