New trailer for the Transformers standalone movie.
If any blockbuster franchise has squandered its premise its Transformers (they almost never transform for one thing), and the blame has landed at the feet of franchise supremo Michael Bay, who has consistently offered up a series of incomprehensible turkeys.
With Bay taking a backseat for Transformers spin-off Bumblebee, fans are hopeful director Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) can revitalise the series.
Knight's film takes place in the 1980s and stars Hailee Steinfeld as a teen who stumbles across the titular yellow VW Transformer.
Bumblebee is in UK/ROI cinemas December 26th.

The official synopsis reads:
On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
