Five years after scooping the Palme d'Or for his controversial lesbian drama Blue is the Warmest Colour, director Abdellatif Kechiche returns with Mektoub, My Love: Canto Uno, the first instalment in a planned trilogy.
The film stars Shain Boumedine as an aspiring filmmaker who returns to his Mediterranean hometown for a life changing summer.
Mektoub, My Love: Canto Uno opens in French cinemas later this month, but a UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
