We're still waiting for a UK/ROI release for director Bong Joon Ho's Snowpiercer, and the truth is we'll probably never see one. We will get to see his next movie, Okja, as it debuts on Netflix June 28th. The sad news is it seems Netflix have given up on releasing their movies theatrically, so Joon Ho's movie won't get the platform his visuals likely deserve.
Okja boasts an impressive cast including Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Giancarlo Esposito, Steven Yeun, Lily Collins and newcomer Seo Hyun An.
The official synopsis reads:
From visionary Director Bong Joon Ho, this grand global adventure follows a friendship too big to ignore. Meet Mija, a young girl who risks everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend – a massive animal named Okja.
