The Liebster is an award that's passed from blogger to blogger as a recognition of quality work. We received ours from Alex Jowski from Geek Juice Media. To accept the award there are rules which must be followed however:

As well as being a movie nut I also have a sad knowledge of music and DJ most Fridays in a local bar.
My favorite movie is John Carpenter's "Halloween"
My favorite TV show is "Twin Peaks"
My favorite band is Fleetwood Mac.
My favorite director is Hitchcock.
I'm a Spurs fan (the soccer team, not the basketball one).
As a child I had a flu jab which left a permanent scar on my arm.
I love food.
I wish they'd bring back buttered popcorn in cinemas.
I don't get the current obsession with superhero movies.

Answer the 11 questions

What do you enjoy most about blogging? Being able to give a great film the hype it deserves.
What movie do you end up recommending to people more than any other movie? Lately it's been "Martha Marcy May Marlene".
What celebrity or artist have you have met who has inspired you the most in your life? I live in Ireland, we don't do celebrity.
What is your favorite "bad" movie? Godfrey Ho's "Scorpion Thunderbolt" has to be seen to be believed. It's pieced together from three failed productions and makes no sense at all.
What is a movie that offends you - a movie you hate for moral reasons? "Juno" really pissed me off with it's right wing pro-life propaganda.
What are two of your favorite books that have NEVER been adapted into a movie? "The Fortress of Solitude" by Jonathon Lethem, although I believe David Lynch owns the rights. "Waiting For The End Of The World" by Madison Smartt Bell.
Whose opinion do you trust more in deciding if a movie is good or not? Critics in magazines/newspapers, fellow bloggers, or the general public (like imdb scores, etc.)? I decide for myself.
Which game from your childhood do you wish you could play again? (Could be a video game or a playground game like Tag)? Doctors and Nurses would be nice.
Do you have a nickname? How did you get that name? Not really but everyone mis-spells my surname as Hills.
What was the first thing you posted on your blog and why? A review of the awful "Friday the 13th" remake.
What is your favorite beverage? I love a beer but nothing beats a cool glass of Coke and ice on a hot day.
