Director David Leitch goes from Bullet Train to joining the nostalgia train with a big screen reboot of '80s
action TV show The Fall Guy. Ryan Gosling takes over from Lee Majors as stuntman
Colt Seavers. The film sees Seavers team up with his ex-wife (Emily Blunt) to solve the mystery of a missing movie star (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie Hsu and Winston Duke also star.
The screenplay was penned by Drew Pearce.
The Fall Guy is in UK/ROI cinemas from May 2nd.
During the filming, stunt driver Logan Holladay set a new Guinness world record for most
cannon rolls in a car, surpassing the previous record held
by stuntman Adam Kirley, who achieved seven cannon rolls during
the filming of 2006's Casino Royale.
The cannon roll, a classic stunt dating back to the early days of
cinema, involves fitting a cannon-like apparatus beneath a car that
shoots toward the ground. As the vehicle reaches a designated speed,
the mechanism triggers and propels the car into a series of rolls.
Holladay executed the stunt behind the wheel of a modified Jeep
Grand Cherokee fitted with an external fiberglass body.

Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land, Drive) stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie—being directed by his ex, Jody Moreno, played by Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place films, Sicario)—goes missing.While the film’s ruthless producer (Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham; Ted Lasso), maneuvers to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Golden Globe winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson; Bullet Train) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film’s most outrageous stunts while trying (with limited success) to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces.
