You'll be forgiven for thinking The Exorcism is a sequel to
The Pope's Exorcist, but it's actually a meta-horror in which Russell Crowe plays an
actor working on a horror movie. When he begins to mentally unravel it
seems reality may be mirroring fiction, and his demons may not all be in
his mind.
The film is directed by Joshua John Miller, who just happens to be
the son of The Exorcist star Jason Miller, and co-written
with M.A. Fortin. The cast also features Ryan Sympkins, Sam Worthington, Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg, David Hyde
Pierce, Marcenae Lynette, Tracey Bonner, Samantha Mathis
and Adrian Pasdar.
The Exorcism is in US cinemas from June 7th. A UK/ROI
release has yet to be announced.
