Written and directed by Carol Morley (The Falling,
Out of Blue), Typist Artist Pirate King stars Monica Dolan as
Audrey Amiss, an artist who spent much of her life in psychiatric
institutions and whose talents only began to be recognised following her
death in 2013. The film also stars Kelly MacDonald as the nurse who
agrees to take her on a road trip.
Typist Artist Pirate King receives its UK premiere on March
8th at the Glasgow Film Festival.

In a last-ditch mission to get recognition for her talent, Audrey Amiss (Monica Dolan) persuades her psychiatric nurse, Sandra Panza (Kelly Macdonald) to take her on a road trip back to where her story began – but with so many deviations along the way, will they ever make it?
