Considered one of the finest movies of the Spaghetti Western era,
Sergio Corbucci's The Great Silence stars Jean-Louis Trintignant as a mute gun-slinger who takes on a group
of violent bounty hunters led by Klaus Kinski.
Restored in 2K, The Great Silence will make its UK blu-ray
debut on November 22nd when it will be released in a limited edition
(3,000 copies) by Eureka Entertainment.
Bonus features include English and Italian audio options; new
commentaries by Western expert Howard Hughes, filmmaker Mike Siegel and filmmaker and western buff Alex Cox;
a new interview with Austin Fisher, author of 'Radical Frontiers in the
Spaghetti Western: Politics, Violence and Popular Italian Cinema'; an
interview with Alex Cox on Corbucci; 1968 documentary,
Western Italian Style; two alternate endings with optional
commentaries; trailers; and stills.
The set comes with a slipcase, reversible poster, 4 lobby cards, and a
collector's booklet with writing by Howard Hughes.

The official synopsis reads:
On an unforgiving, snow-swept frontier, a group of bloodthirsty bounty hunters, led by the vicious Loco (Klaus Kinski) prey on a band of persecuted outlaws who have taken to the hills. Only a mute gunslinger named Silence (Jean-Louis Trintignant) stands between the innocent refugees and the corrupt killers. But, in this harsh, brutal world, the lines between right and wrong are not always clear, and good does not always triumph.
