Any hopes we harboured of cinema-going returning to normal in 2021 are
beginning to seem naive as COVID-19 continues to lock us down. 2020 was a
banner year for streaming services, as most of the world's population found
themselves stuck indoors, and 2021 looks to carry on in similar
fashion.
Netflix has announced a massive roster of original movies, with new movies
dropping every week of 2021. Directors onboard include
Jane Campion, Zack Snyder, Nora Fingscheidt, Joe Wright and
Antoine Fuqua, with Halle Berry and
Lin Manuel Miranda making their directorial debuts, while the
acting talent features such stars as Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Meryl
Streep, Zendaya, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Gal
Gadot, Dave Bautista, Naomi Watts, Jake Gyllenhaal, John David
