The latest adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's novel comes to Netflix in October.
Daphne du Maurier's 1938 gothic novel Rebecca has been adapted for the screen several times, most famously by Alfred Hitchcock in 1940. Ben Wheatley is the latest director to bring du Maurier's tale to the screen with his upcoming Netflix bound adaptation. Lily James stars as the unnamed young woman who marries the wealthy Maxim de Winter (Armie Hammer), only to find herself haunted by the memory of his late wife. Kristin Scott Thomas plays the housekeeper Mrs Danvers.
Rebecca is on Netflix from October 21st.

The official synopsis reads:
After a whirlwind romance in Monte Carlo with handsome widower Maxim de Winter (Armie Hammer), a newly married young woman (Lily James) arrives at Manderley, her new husband’s imposing family estate on a windswept English coast. Naive and inexperienced, she begins to settle into the trappings of her new life, but finds herself battling the shadow of Maxim’s first wife, the elegant and urbane Rebecca, whose haunting legacy is kept alive by Manderley’s sinister housekeeper Mrs. Danvers (Kristin Scott Thomas).
