First look at director Haroula Rose's '70s set drama.
Writer/director Haroula Rose (Lost & Found) adapts Bonnie Jo Campbell's 1970s set novel Once Upon a River with first time performer Kenadi DelaCerna in the lead role of Native American teenager Margo Crane. Following cumulative tragedies, Margo ventures along Michigan's Stark River in search of her mother. Along the way she meets a variety of characters while encountering challenges and dangers. John Ashton, Tatanka Means, Ajuawak Kapashesit, Sam Straley, Coburn Goss, Lindsay Pulsipher and Kenn E. Head also star.
Once Upon a River opens in the US through virtual cinemas on October 2nd. A UK/ROI release date has yet to be announced.

Once Upon A River is the story of Native American teenager Margo Crane (Kenadi DelaCerna) in 1970s rural Michigan who after enduring a series of traumas and tragedies, sets out on an odyssey on the Stark River in search of her estranged mother. On the water, Margo encounters friends, foes, wonders, and dangers; navigating life on her own, she comes to understand her potential, all while healing the wounds of her past.
