First look at the Netflix bound action movie.
Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, The Old Guard stars Charlize Theron as the leader of a group of mercenaries who possess the substantial career advantage of immortality. It sounds like the most counter-intuitive premise for an action movie ever conceived - if our heroes can't die, where's the drama? - so it will be interesting to see how Prince-Bythewood tackles what seems like a narrative handicap.
The film also stars Kiki Layne, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Van Veronica Ngo, with Matthias Schoenaerts and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The Old Guard premieres on Netflix July 10th.
