Kirill Serebrennikov's rock musical Leto tells the story of musician Viktor Tsoi (Teo Yoo), who struggles to bring rock to Soviet era Leningrad amid state censorship while entering into a love triangle with fellow rocker Mike Naumenko (Roman Bilyk) and his girlfriend Natalia (Irina Starshenbaum).

The official synopsis reads:
