Chucky returns in first look at the upcoming killer doll reboot.
There has been much speculation among horror fans as to whether Chucky would actually feature in this year's Child's Play, which is a reboot of the original 1988 film rather than a continuation of creator Don Mancini's ongoing series. It seemed like Mancini may have held onto the rights for the name Chucky, but this first trailer confirms that the killer doll will indeed go by his rightful name.
As with the 1988 movie, this Child's Play sees a young boy (Gabriel Bateman) battling Chucky after his mother (Aubrey Plaza) unwittingly purchases the doll as a gift.
Child's Play is in US cinemas this June, with a UK/ROI release yet to be announced.
