Releasing on the iTunes Store, Amazon Prime and Google Play on October 13th following a successful festival run is Zelos, an Australian 'dramedy' that explores the minefield that is modern relationships.

Though it features a male protagonist, the film was made with a majority female crew including writer, director, producers and camera department. "Since men often write stories about women, we figured it was about time that a male story was told through a female lens," says writer/producer Claire Harris. "What's more, we wanted to put people like us on screen: young urbanites living in a recognisably Australian city speaking in Aussie accents. The film asks a unique question that many young people navigating the complex world of real-world and online dating can relate to: can settling the score ever save a relationship?"

The official synopsis reads:

Zelos (from the Greek – meaning ‘zeal’ and ‘passion’ but also ‘jealousy’ and ‘suspicion’). Bernard is the 35-year-old he always planned to be. He has a successful career, a meticulously neat beachside apartment and a girlfriend, Sarah, whom he adores. But his pristine existence is turned upside down when Sarah confesses an affair.

To salvage the relationship, Sarah insists they equal the playing field: Bernard should sleep with another woman. A man who would never cheat is asked by the woman he loves to have sex with someone else to save their relationship — a compromise which may ultimately destroy them, as love becomes corroded by jealousy.
