Paul Feig unleashes his dark side.
'From the dark side of director Paul Feig' isn't a log line we thought we'd ever see, but the Bridesmaids and Ghostbusters director is dabbling in the thriller genre with his latest, A Simple Favour (or 'A Simple Favor' as it's known in the US), adapted from the mystery novel by Darcey Bell.
In the film, Anna Kendrick plays a 'Mommy blogger' who conducts her own investigation into the disappearance of a friend (Blake Lively).
A Simple Favour is in UK/ROI cinemas September 21st.

The official synopsis reads:
A SIMPLE FAVOUR, a stylish post-modern film noir directed by Paul Feig, centers around Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mummy blogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily's (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily's husband Sean (Henry Golding) in this thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty, murder and revenge.
