Writer-director James Kermack's feature debut comes to UK cinemas November.
A romantic drama addressing male depression and mental health issues, Hi-Lo Joe will be released in UK cinemas and on digital November 24th.
The feature debut from writer/director James Kermack stars newcomer Matthew Stathers as the titular Joe, an outgoing personality who secretly suffers from depression and the memory of a childhood trauma. Lizzie Philips, Gethin Anthony, Tom Bateman, Joe Dixon and Thaila Zucchi also star.
The official synopsis reads:
Everyone loves Joe Ridley, except Joe Ridley. He’s the life and soul of the party on the outside but, inside, a dark depression envelops him and a childhood trauma haunts him. Elly loves him but as their relationship grows, Joe’s inner turmoil slowly becomes uncontrollable, threatening his relationship. Can Joe save himself before he loses everything he loves?
