In this era of gritty reboots, it's refreshing to see Guy Ritchie's take on the origin of King Arthur (played here by Charlie Hunnam) isn't taking itself too seriously. This final official trailer even features dragons, though they don't seem to be chewing quite as much scenery as Jude Law in the role of the movie's villain.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is in UK/ROI cinemas May 17th.
The official synopsis reads:
When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.
